action shaping
Action Shaping is a concept for a product, which the user can shape by him self. The function of the product can be anything from sofa, lounge chair, storage furniture, table, room divider to sculptural element.
The product is based on a textile, which is divided into two parts. Each part contains a material that during activation by hand will expand and then harden into the wanted shape. One part becomes hard while the other part becomes soft. In that way the user can create any shape. After 10 min of curing the textile will be self-sustainable. Action shaping is based on polyurethane foam.
