The chair is made out of a body position.
A rule of creating, a chair out of one single cast of the body. “HIM” celebrates the perfect chair in theory - the perfect chair for a specific person, in a specific position, at a specific moment.
The idea about the project was to make a statement of how furniture fit the body. In the making of this chair, the chair has adapted the human body 100 percent, but in the end it is the human who must adapt to the chair.
It is made as a self-portrait, which during the process has created entirely new relationships between furniture and human. The furniture was made human – that is why it is called “HIM”. The chair is made out of carbon fibre and foam.
