My name is Nikolaj Steenfatt Thomsen, and I’m a Design Student from Denmark. In the summer of 2010 I was bachelor at the Department of Furniture, Spatial and Industrial Design. I am now doing my Master's Degree at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen.
By a conceptual approach, I focus on experimental furniture. I am fascinated by the contrast between the changeable and the unchangeable, the soft and the hard, the industrialized and the unique, and in my work, I try to melt together the concept.
To achieve playful products, I work intuitively and I consciously aim to let the randomness be a part of the design process - I believe that if the process has been fun, the result will be the same.
